Petty Little Thieves -Variants

PLEASE READ and TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!!!!

I had a conversation a few days ago, with a friend about how much we've grown, how school years is more than a decade ago... and I got into thinking...

Then this "client" comes up to me and ask me to illustrate the phrase "pretty petty thieves" from Morrissey's song "First of the gang to die", and it all came back...

I got this scene on my head, of children running away from a corner store, from where they just stole some candy or something... I got "homesick" of that era... Running around the neighborhood with the "gang" was all I did as a child!!! Now kids run around the Age of Conan and slaughter each other virtually... Not fair really!!! But that's what happens when you live in large cities with no parks and no safe neighborhoods... I am just getting old I guess!!!

Anyway, here's what I came up with... and I am still waiting for the "client's" opinion... BUT I WANT YOUR HELP, to decide which one works best!!! The "clean" colored version, the nostalgic sepia toned, or the right-on-the-subject white version...
